Roger Ambrosier

Roger Ambrosier was born on his great grandparents’ farm in the small rural community of Maysville, Missouri in DeKalb County.  As an only child, he was allowed to explore the creeks and countryside developing his appreciation for the land.  He maintains a studio in that area as well as his primary studio in Evergreen, Colorado.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from Northwest Missouri State University and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Northern Colorado.  He was a secondary art instructor for 33 years in the Jefferson County School District in Colorado.  His wife Jeanne has always been supportive of his first love and passion for drawing and painting.

Roger has received numerous awards including Best of Show in the Mid-America Pastel Society 2007 National Pastel Exhibition and Best of Show in the Pastel Society of Colorado 2007 Mile-High National Exhibition.  He was recently featured in a one-man exhibition at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.  He is represented by American Legacy Gallery in Kansas City and is an elected permanent member of The Brown County Art Guild in Nashville, Indiana.
